General Guidelines

The submitter must be an enrolled Augsburg student, staff, or faculty member at the time of submission.
By submitting, the author/artist acknowledges that the work submitted is his/her own and has not been plagiarized or copied from another source. Any borrowed lines in poetry or prose works must be properly cited in footnotes.

All submission files must be properly named! Use the following template for naming all your submission documents/files:

(Submission Category) Title of Work

For example: (Art) The Olive Trees.jpg

Art

All art that is not digital MUST be photographed and formatted at a resolution of 300ppi. We will not accept art of lower quality because it does not look good in print.
Photography and digital art must also be high resolution at 300ppi.
We accept all kinds of art: photography, graphic design, typography, photographs of original 3D work, paintings, calligraphy, drawing…the sky’s the limit! We will NOT accept your photograph of someone else's work.
Visual arts submissions must be submitted in either .jpg or .tif format. No .pdf or .psd files will be accepted.

Prose

Any work of prose, including fiction, creative non-fiction, short plays, and short screenplays must have a title and must be submitted in a Microsoft Word .doc or .docx file. The file name MUST match the name of the work. Only one piece per file; please do not save two or more works in a single file – it gets confusing for the editors during the selection process!

Poetry

Any work of poetry must have a title and must be submitted in a Microsoft Word .doc or .docx file. The file name MUST match the name of the work. Only one piece per file; please do not save two or more poems in a single file – it gets confusing for the editors during the selection process!
