Does IT offer any classes in computer software like MS Excel?
Generally no. We offer training opportunities that are targetted at specific needs. The Academic LFCs typically offer Blackboard workshops for faculty. The Administrative LFCs, through the Set4IT program, seek to raise the IT literacy level of the College staff through individual needs analyses which may lead to departmental training opportunities.
For help on specific application tasks we recommend the Microsoft Office Assistance Center and Atomic Learning. Augsburg has a site license for Atomic Learning so if you connect from on campus you have access to all the tutorials on the site. Though this is not an endorsement, we have heard much favorable feedback around campus from people who have attended the Science Museum's classes.
I need a data projector / digital camera / TV for my class. Do I call IT?

Does IT provide Internet access?
No. We do provide many ways to access your Augsburg work from home, but we do not provide the Internet connection in your home. Your LFC may be able to offer some suggestions as to what providers may be good for you.
