Feedback Sheet
Please review each of these items carefully before handing-in your paper:
- Thematic Structure--Introduction: To what extent does the paper follow an overall theme or thesis? Is the thesis stated clearly at the beginning of the paper? Are the main sub-themes introduced early in the paper?
- Flow: To what extent does the paper make orderly transitions between sub-themes?
- Internal Consistency: To what extent do the paragraphs and citations support the overall theme?
- Documentation: Are all assertions of fact (e.g., "learning is best through experience') documented (e.g., Dewey, 1929)?
- Personal Opinion: Are personal opinions clearly stated and supported (although not necessarily with citations)?
- Professional Formating: Is APA style used throughout the paper--in the paper's structure, citation format, and reference format?
- Writing with Style: Are the word choice and sentence structure sufficiently varied to maintain reader interest?
- Writing with Clarity and Organization: Is the paper clearly laid-out—does it have section headings and/or other evidence of organization?
- Spelling and Grammar: Are there an excess of grammatical and mechanical errors that disrupt the flow or continuity of the paper?
- Thematic Structure--Conclusion: At the end of the paper, does the author rehearse the main themes and bring to conclusion all key ideas?
