My wife and I have five children and three grandchildren. My hobbies include basketball, racquetball, computers, travel, Italian cooking and language. I served on the Minneapolis School Board and was its chair for two years. I have had hip replacement surgery. I was awarded a Fulbright U.S. Scholar Award to work at the University of Ljubljana in Slovenia during the 2022-2023 school year.
