Re: Invitation to a fall advisory board meeting

Welcome to the start of the 2003-2004 academic school year. We hope that yours has begun well and that being back has energized you.

This fallÕs education department advisory board meeting will focus on preparations for our accreditation site visit in spring 2004. The Education Department will be working hard to get ready for this visit and we need your help. Please join us on Thursday, October 9 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. in the Minneapolis Room for dinner and conversation. We promise to use your time well.

The agenda will include a review of new programs, enrollment data, and future program initiatives. We will also engage you in a conversation about our programÕs conceptual framework Š a series of statements that outline our beliefs about teaching and teacher education. Your insights will help us know whether we have captured our community values in our conceptual framework and how those values appear throughout our courses.

Thanks, as always, for being a part of our advisory board. We appreciate you and what you bring to our collective thinking and planning.
