Welcome to my personal Web site.  I'm a Professor at Augsburg College in Minneapolis, an author, and a consultant.  I'm sometimes introduced as a Ph.D., PMP, and mother of three! Parents know which of those three accomplishments is most challenging and rewarding.

The sixth edition of Information Technology Project Management was published by Cengage Learning in early April 2009. I self-published An Introduction to Project Management, Third Edition in early August, 2009. Both are based on PMBOK® Guide, Fourth Edition. Instructors should email me directly (schwalbe@augsburg.edu) for a desk copy of the new Intro PM text and go to www.cengage.com for the IT PM text. The PMP exam changed July 1, 2009 based on the latest PMBOK® Guide. Click the Test Advice link on the left for more information.

You can purchase Information Technology Project Management (ITPM), Sixth Edition from www.cengage.com/mis/schwalbe or amazon using the link below. You can purchase An Introduction to Project Management, Third Edition from amazon using the link below. To order 10 or more copies of An Introduction to Project Management, Third Edition, email me (schwalbe@augsburg.edu) for further discount information since I am the publisher for it. Call Cengage at (800.354.9706)or email esales@cengage.com to order copies of the second edition.

Access the free companion Web site for An Introduction to Project Management, Third Edition at the following link:

You can also purchase a separate pass code just to access the companion Web sites or electronic copies of Cengage's books from www.ichapters.com.  You can also access templates and Project files from the Book FAQ link on the left on this page.  There are Chinese, Japanese, Russian, and Czech editions of my ITPM book. Cool, eh?!

MY students can find a lot of important information under the My Classes link above. Presentations I've given are under My Bio.

If you're not interested in project management, feel free to explore my other ideas on teaching, quilting, photography, etc. to explore your own creative talents.  Click here to access my amazon store with some other book recommendations.
